Coach Pete,
I finished your book today. I couldn't put it down. I was hoping to make it last most of break but I devoured it in two days.
Overall, I think it was the best of the series. I think my favorite part in Carpe Diem is the letter at the end of the book. In particular, this quote means so much to me:
"Wanting to be someone special - that's Hillsdale Hillmen football, and that's what I will always remember. You have taught me to care."
And I'll never forget about "expecting" success, not "hoping" or "wishing" for it.
Being away from the game for almost four years now, and reliving memories in the pages of your books, the bigger picture of what I was part of is crystal clear.
Again, thanks for the memories! Keep writing, and lastly, keep being someone special. This world could use a few more guys that care.
